ATI Editorial and Opportunity Verification Standards
Last reviewed: 16 July 2026
Africa Training Institute publishes practical learning resources and concise opportunity summaries for African development, humanitarian and NGO professionals. This page explains how we select, verify, update and correct that information.
How opportunities are selected
- Jobs and funding calls must be relevant to development, humanitarian, nonprofit, public-sector or social-impact work.
- Priority is given to opportunities relevant to African professionals and organisations.
- Discovery may begin on reputable platforms such as ReliefWeb, Devex or official donor portals, but ATI checks the original employer or donor source before publication.
Verification standard
- Every opportunity summary identifies the organisation, location or eligibility, deadline where available, official source and last-verified date.
- The original employer or donor page is authoritative. Applicants should recheck it immediately before applying.
- ATI writes original summaries and does not reproduce full third-party advertisements.
- ATI never charges an application fee and is not the employer, donor or recruitment agent unless explicitly stated.
Updates, expiry and archives
Time-sensitive pages are reviewed for changed deadlines or source links. Expired opportunities may remain in a clearly labelled archive because they help readers understand past donor and recruitment patterns. They should not appear as currently open opportunities.
Corrections and transparency
If a source changes, a deadline is incorrect or a link stops working, contact info@africatraininginstitute.org and include the page URL. ATI will review material corrections promptly.
